Huobi Exchange Expands to the British Virgin Islands

The exchange has announced that its latest expansion is going to be in British Virginia Islands. The particular area is known for being the overseas territory of Britain.

By expanding its services to a particular region Huobi exchange is aiming to fulfill its mission of spreading its footprint throughout the world.

Huobi Acquired Operating License in the British Virgin Islands

The officials at Huobi exchange made an official announcement on Friday that they have acquired an operating license in the British Virgin Islands. It is an investment business license that the exchange has successfully acquired in a particular region.

It is the Financial Services Commission (FSC) that has granted the license to Huobi to operate in the British Virgin Islands.

Following the approval, Huobi will be able to operate as an exchange for virtual assets. However, it will not be operating in the British Virgin Islands as Huobi.

Instead, the exchange will be operating as Brtuomi Worldwide Limited (BWL), a virtual asset exchange of Huobi.

Services to be offered by BWL

The Huobi subsidiary Brtuomi Worldwide Limited will be offering investors in the British Virginal Islands a wide range of trading services in cryptocurrencies.

One of the most prominent services the users will gain access to would include spot trading. The exchange does plan on offering users access to major cryptocurrencies such as Ether (ETH) and Bitcoin.

In addition to spot trading features, the users will be granted access to perform derivatives trading.

Huobi Has Unlocked an Achievement

With the acquisition of the license, Huobi has earned itself the achievement of being the first ever business in the British Virgin Islands to offer a platform for digital asset trading.

It is now the only licensed entity in the British Virgin Islands to offer trading services in digital assets. The platform will be offering trading services to all kinds of investors, including individual, retail, and professional investors.

Zhang stated that with the acquisition of the operating license, they have become the first business in the particular region to provide crypto derivative products.
